I live in Tennessee and oppose rescinding the 2001 Roadless Area Conservation Rule. Please select the No Action alternative and retain the rule. Tennessee’s roadless areas protect clean water, wildlife habitat, intact forests, recreation and local economies. The forests of Tennessee are the greatest part of the state. The rule already allows necessary work involving wildfire, disease and public safety. Removing these protections could increase road construction, habitat fragmentation, erosion and long-term maintenance costs. Please retain the Roadless Rule.

I use many of the trails that go through the wild areas in Virginia's mountains and I would like to see their wildness preserved. I come to the communities and spend money on food and lodging. I want to see the waterfalls and local streams continue to carry clean water. Do not put more roads through these wild areas.

I live in Georgia and oppose rescinding the 2001 Roadless Area Conservation Rule. Please select the No Action alternative and retain the rule. If the rule is rescinded, 88% of Georgia’s last remaining roadless public lands could lose their broad federal protection. Currently only 7% of the entire 751,000-acre Chattahoochee National Forest free of roads. Georgia's roadless areas protect clean water, wildlife habitat, intact forests, recreation and local economies. The rule already allows necessary work involving wildfire, disease and public safety. Removing these protections could increase road construction, habitat fragmentation, erosion, and long-term maintenance costs. Please retain the Roadless Rule. I live in Tennessee and oppose rescinding the 2001 Roadless Area Conservation Rule. I wake up each morning looking over Watts Bar Lake. By disturbing roadless areas, this area will eventually be impacted, causing harm to the wildlife and adding exponential clean up costs. This damage will affect local economies, tourism, commerce and housing prices in areas not usually associated with the Great Smokey Mountains Please select the No Action alternative and retain the rule. I live in Harrisonburg, Virginia and oppose rescinding the 2001 Roadless Area Conservation Rule. Shenandoah National Park is very near and dear to Harrisonburg, providing beautiful scenery and outdoor recreation. As the population of Virginia expands, local communities are rightfully creating more space and developing more land. Protecting our National Parks goes a long way to combat dramatic and dangerous shifts in flora, fauna, and weather in our state. Please select the No Action alternative and retain the rule.
