I am a Louisiana resident who is passionate about deer hunting, nature conservation, and enjoying the outdoors. I have hunted the Homochitto National Forest in the past and will continue to do so. As I understand it, a change in the current rule could affect areas near Sandy Creek. I am commenting to voice my opinion that option 1 - no change to the 2001 rule - is the only option that will guarantee those who use the land will be able to continue to do so as is. I have several friends that hunt this area of the NF as well, and enjoy it because it is left undisturbed. I have no confidence that any change to the rule will leave the forest in a better place than it is in now. The displacement of wildlife and the shrinking of undisturbed land available to the public seem to be issues less and less people care about. They are important issues that have ripples felt for generations. Please keep the 2001 roadless rule in effect for all of our national forests. Thank you.
