The letter

As sent in FS-2025-0001-228982, the comment that stands for the group.

I am a hiker who cares deeply about our national forests. I support the Roadless Rule and Alternative 1 - No Action in the Draft Environmental Impact Statement that would continue current management under the 2001 Roadless Area Conservation Rule. The Roadless Rule is extremely important to the outdoor recreation community. The current proposed rescission of the Roadless Rule would remove protections on more than 25,000 miles of trails nationally. Road construction in Inventoried Roadless Areas will damage watersheds, fragment landscapes and may increase the number of wildland fires. Eliminating the Roadless Rule is unpopular and unnecessary. Thousands of hikers like me enjoy trails in Roadless Areas. Please do not rescind the Roadless Rule.
