The comment

My name is Amy and I live in Canaan Valley, WV. I am writing to oppose the proposed repeal of the 2001 Roadless Rule. Protecting these public lands is personal to me. My kids and I spend most of our free time on Dolly Sods, Blackwater Wildlife Refuge, and on the back roads in Tucker and many beautiful mountains and rivers in our area. The forests and wild places around us are a huge part of what makes this place special. Our clean water, wildlife, quiet trails, and the sense that there are still places here that haven’t been carved up and developed. Repealing the Roadless Rule puts 182,000 acres of West Virginia’s national forests at greater risk of roads and logging. Once those places are cut up into pieces, we can’t just put them back into place. These lands belong to all of us. Please keep the Roadless Rule and protect the wild places that make Canaan Valley and West Virginia so special. Sincerely, Amy Margolies 210 Cortland Rd Davis, WV 26260-8351 margolies.amy@gmail.com
