I write to urge that the U. S. Forest Service preserve the 2001 Roadless Area Conservation Rule. It is vital that wildlife have habitat undisturbed by human activity, and that this habitat have corridors allowing wildlife to move freely throughout the National Forests. It is very important that areas of mature forest exist, and that diverse vegetation exist. In the Gila National Forest, it is noted that miles of hiking trails, and forest roads currently exist. Concerned that further incursions of human activity would be disruptive to birdlife in particular. Also important to ensure that the Gila River headwaters not be polluted.
