Healthy, roadless forests naturally soak up greenhouse gases to help fight climate change. The current rule already lets local managers thin out overgrown trees near neighborhoods to prevent dangerous wildfires. There is simply no need to build new roads or allow aggressive commercial logging deep in the forest. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
