The comment

I support Alternative 1: keep the Roadless Rule in place.” As a mycologist I know the impact of keeping healthy ecosystems intact. The disturbance of clearing forests for roads and subsequent logging only further endangers fragile ecosystems already suffering from the effects of global warming and habitat destruction. Preserving habitat for microorganisms, plants, insects and wildlife is vital to the health of Virginia forests as well as the planet. Please look at the issue from a global perspective and not at short term economic gains from logging.
