The comment
I am writing to voice my objection to the proposed recission of the roadless rule. I live in Montana and love the solitude and opportunities for quiet and connection provided by America's roadless lands. I wrote comments on the roadless rule 25 years ago when the question about what the best use of roadless lands was asked and answered by America's public land owners. The answer has not changed, in fact, roadless areas are more important than ever to protect wildlife security, water quality, and hunting opportunities. I ask you to respect the public's overwhelming support for protecting cultural sites, solititude, and wildlife habitat. We have enough roads now and we can't properly maintain them or enforce laws related to wildlife, poaching, fire, and cultural resource protection. Sincerely, Jen Ferenstein
