The comment

The Tongass National Forest is a national treasure. As visitors to Southeast Alaska, we could easily see how important the Tongass is for our country, even as far away as it may be from where most Americans live. It was the natural beauty and abundance that brought us to the region, where we could see old-growth forests, bears, salmon, and more. There is a booming industry built around the allure of this place, from the cruise ships bringing visitors to shore to the many excursions that bring visitors like us closer to nature. The Tongass National Forest is clearly irreplaceable. Clear-cutting these stunning forests would destroy what makes this place a destination. It's not only the beautiful scenery and wild landscapes — damaging these forests will have cascading effects for wildlife, fish and the communities and industries we can see thriving right now. Removing the protections afforded by the Roadless Rule is unacceptable. This Tongass National Forest is worth more standing. We, visitors to the Tongass National Forest, urge the Forest Service to select the 'No Action' alternative and not rescind the Roadless Rule. Attached: 1270 Unique signatures
